Deinococcus Gobiensis

Upon researching my bacteria, I found more interesting facts. This bacteria is about 1.6 micrometer length and width. For enzyme testing these came out positive for catalase, cytochrome oxidase, and urease. It was also positive for the following tests: aspartic, fructose, glucose, lactose, nitrate, and sucrose. It does not have the ability of spore formation. The culture in medium is Trypticase Soy yeast extract. This is a mesophillic bacteria. The temperature it grows is 28°C and also between 15°C-35°C. The optimum growth is 30°C. The pH optimum is 7.5 and growth is 7-8°C.
